Filly AI supports PDF and DOCX (Word) files. This includes standard forms, contracts, legal documents, HR paperwork, and invoices. Scanned PDFs are also supported via built-in OCR — text is extracted automatically before analysis.

When you upload a document, Filly AI sends it to Claude (Anthropic's AI) which reads the content and identifies every fillable field — its label, type (text, date, currency, signature, etc.), and what client data it needs. This happens in seconds and you can review or edit the field list before filling.

It depends on the form, so here's the honest answer. Official forms that carry a real field layer — IRS W-9 and W-4, USCIS I-9, and most government PDFs — are filled deterministically: Filly reads the actual field objects out of the document, so placement isn't a guess. Flat or scanned forms have no field layer at all, so Filly runs OCR and then an AI-plus-geometry pass to locate the blanks and checkbox squares. On a clean scan that works well; on a heavily degraded photocopy it degrades, and we won't pretend otherwise. What Filly is built to do is fail loudly rather than silently: the dangerous outcome isn't a missed field, it's a confidently wrong one, so anything it can't place with confidence is flagged as an unplaced value for you to position — never quietly guessed into the neighbouring box. Every value is colour-coded by confidence and nothing is exported until you approve it. And corrections persist: fix a field or its placement once and every future fill of that form is exact and instant.

Your data is stored in the EU — Filly is operated by Cyrus Group Kft. (Hungary) — and encrypted in transit and at rest. Every client profile, form, and fill is scoped to your account with database row-level security, so no other user can reach it. Uploaded documents sit in a private bucket and are only ever served over short-lived signed links. Documents are processed by Anthropic's API, which does not train on your data, and we never sell or share it. Stored files are auto-deleted after 12 months of inactivity, and you can erase your account and every document instantly from Settings.

No. When you share a document for signing, your client receives a private link. They can review the filled document, make suggested edits, draw their signature, and submit — all without creating an account or logging in.

Batch fill lets you generate the same form for multiple clients at once. Select a form, pick up to 20 clients, and Filly AI fills and exports a separate PDF for each. All files are packaged into a single ZIP download. It's ideal for HR teams sending onboarding packets or lawyers preparing the same contract for multiple clients.

Yes. Upload a CSV where the first line is column headers and Filly generates one filled form per row, returned as a single ZIP. Columns are matched to fields automatically by name and you can correct any of them before running. Nothing needs to be saved as a client first, which suits a one-off list that lives in a spreadsheet rather than in your account. CSV only — export from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers first. The per-run row limit is the same as batch fill and depends on your plan.

You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan — you keep access to your data but are limited to the free tier's usage caps.
